This Privacy Policy explains what information Stayaway collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Stayaway is operated by an individual, Mehar Sulaiman, based in Pakistan. Contact us at support@stayaway.app.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address, used to create and manage your account and to sync your settings.
• Settings you sync — your Stayaway preferences (such as intensity presets and schedule), so they follow you across devices.
• License and device information — your license key and a device identifier, used to validate your plan and enforce device limits.
• Basic operational logs — limited technical logs (such as license-validation requests) needed to run and secure the Service.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your full card details.

What we do NOT collect

This is central to how Stayaway is built. The desktop app simulates input locally on your device. It does not:

• log or record your keystrokes;
• take screenshots or record your screen;
• read the contents of your documents, messages, or applications;
• track your browsing or sell your personal data.

How we use your information

• to create and operate your account and sync your settings;
• to validate your license and enforce plan limits;
• to provide support and respond to your requests;
• to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

Third parties we rely on

We share the minimum data needed with service providers who help us run Stayaway:

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and billing as Merchant of Record.
• Hosting and authentication providers — to host the Service and sign you in securely.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@stayaway.app. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under the GDPR (including access, rectification, erasure, and objection), and we will honor them.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep what we hold safe.
