Terms of use

A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Stayaway on the number of computers your plan covers. The Free tier is licensed the same way, with fewer features and no time limit.

You do not get ownership of the software, and you may not resell it, redistribute it, or sell access to it.

This is the important one. Stayaway simulates mouse, keyboard and scroll activity so your computer does not register as idle. Whether you may do that on a particular computer is between you and whoever owns that computer.

Many employers have policies about monitoring software, and many employment agreements say something about misrepresenting working time. Using Stayaway may breach yours. We do not know your circumstances and we are not in a position to advise you on them. You are responsible for deciding whether using it is appropriate where you are, and for the consequences if it is not.

Do not use Stayaway to commit fraud, to break the law, or on computers you do not have permission to use.

Stayaway keeps your computer active. It does not promise that any particular monitoring system will read that activity in any particular way, and we make no claim about what such software can or cannot detect. That question is asked and answered directly in the FAQ.

The software is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be free of faults, or that it will suit any particular purpose of yours.

To the extent the law allows, Stayaway is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Stayaway, including loss of employment, income, data or reputation. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy LLC as merchant of record. They are the seller for the transaction, handle tax, and their terms apply to the payment itself.

You can stop using Stayaway at any time, and cancel a subscription from your account page. We may end a licence if it is used in breach of these terms, and if we do, we will tell you why.

If these terms change materially we will say so on this page and date it. Continuing to use Stayaway after that means the new version applies.

These terms are governed by the law of Pakistan.

Stayaway is sold worldwide. If you use it as a consumer, the law of the country where you live may give you rights that no contract can take away, and nothing in these terms removes them. Where these terms and those rights disagree, your rights win.
